Frequently Asked Questions

1. How does Marigold contact members?

Our team contacts members based on their stated preferences. This can include a combination of texts, emails, phone calls, video chat or in person.

2. Is there a cost for services for members?

All members can access Marigold’s 24/7 anonymous chat support groups at no cost.  There are additional services available to members of Marigold’s contracted insurers and health systems. These services are extended at no cost to the members of these entities. Details about these additional services are below.

Our team will identify which members are eligible for these services and let the individual know when we reach out and connect with them.

3. What services does Marigold provide?

Marigold helps people facing substance use or mental health challenges build strong recovery networks. Our services include peer support, anonymous theme-based chat groups, recovery tools, wellness planning, and goal setting.

All members can join anonymous text-based support groups available 24/7/365. These groups are moderated by certified peers and members of our clinical team, creating a safe space for connection at any time.

Some members are eligible for one-to-one support from a Certified Peer or Recovery Coach — someone with lived experience who is trained to guide recovery. Sessions can take place by phone, video, SMS, or in person. Together, you’ll create a personalized plan at your own pace, whether that means starting treatment, finding community resources, or defining what recovery looks like for you.

Members use peer support in different ways: some reach out during times of need, while others work with peers to set recovery goals and wellness plans. For those with more complex needs, Marigold can provide intensive wraparound support, including connections to clinical care and community services that address social needs.

4. Do members have a point of contact at Marigold?

All members can connect online with our national network of Certified Peer Recovery Coaches. At certain sites, some Peers are also available to meet with members in person.
